Stuttgart is transformed into a winter wonderland: an ice skating rink on Schlossplatz, a Finnish Christmas village and antique market on Karlsplatz, as well as a plethora of festively decorated stalls along many streets and squares shape the city's pre-Christmas image.
The picturesque backdrop to the Old Castle, the towers of the Collegiate Church and the baroque style of the New Palace create the framework for over 200 festively decorated stalls within Stuttgart’s city centre. There is a diverse range of handicrafts, gift items and culinary delicacies – here you will find everything your heart could wish for between 26th of November till 23rd of December, 2014. In the inner courtyard of the Old Castle you can listen to stirring, festive concerts. Esslingen Mediaeval Market and Christmas Market
The splendid timber-framed houses and romantic passageways provide the glamorous setting for Esslingen’s mediaeval and Christmas market between November 28th until December 22nd, 2017. Traders wearing historical robes have their goods on sale here. Trades people such as pewterers, felt makers, blacksmiths, basket weavers or glassblowers display ancient craftwork for all to see. The torchlight procession, which passes through the colourful timber-framed houses and passageways on its way up to the castle, is particularly well-loved.
